Dogdancing

in Czech Republic

Catherine Lerl

motto: "Tachyon, Tachyon, one more time and I'll be done for."

What should I say? My name is Catherine Lerl, I live in Prague (the capital of the Czech Republic) and I'm normal girl who is interested in Agility and Dogdancing. That means I read american magazine about agility, I wish get the book about dogdancing by Richard Curtis as a present on Christmas and on my birthday I ask a costume. For my Dogdancing club's newsletters I translate articles by Richard Curtis, Annie Clayton and Hetty van Hassel (thank you).

I have practised agility with my first dog Border Collie Canny (Akumulator) since 1998 (I was nine years old). I have trained dogdancing but never entred a competition.

My lazy attitude changed radically after coming my next Collie Way (Tachyon) who is always eager to learn something new.

I also study at Archbishop Grammar school so far.

me, Canny, Way

Canny Akumulátor

motto: "Are you sure you want me to do exactly this?"

* 21. 8. 1997

Canny likes the most chasing balls and laying under a table. Funny thing about Canny is I have trained him and now he's competing (in agility) with my dad.

He's a faithful companion at agility course and we didn't have bad times. I'd like to mention just few gains - 2x winning A3 (Advanced), champions of the Czech Republic (juniors) 2002, we went second at the European Juniors Championship (Individual Children) 2003 and first in Teams.

Way Tachyon

motto: "Bend aside or you'll be bent."

* 13. 6. 2006

In spite of Way has werewolf's nature (no wonder, he was born on Friday thirteenth when shined full moon), we are doing well in competing recently.

I train Way as agility and dogdancing dog from his youth and we compete since 2005. We both enjoy it although I'm always nervous. We won two jumpings and three dogdancing competitions so far. Way also got Distinction at HTM 1 and Freestyle 1 Progress Awards.
